This is the season of the earth’s rest and renewal,
When we kindle flames against the darkness;
When we await the promise of the returning light;
When we hold in our hearts the possibility of peace;
When we celebrate the power of community in our lives;
When we count the blessings of family & friends, and
The fellowship of faith which supports us.
May the light of knowledge guide us.
May the light of change transform us.
May the light of love embrace us.
And as we go forward in our days,
May we shine outwardly the light of new life
That resides within us.
